Skip to main content Valley View High School students have been assisting NASA in what is called the ‘Black Hole Patrol’. The students have been helping to monitor the radio emissions from a set of quasars, which are massive and extremely remote celestial objects emitting exceptionally large amounts of energy in deep space. Doing this helps NASA to understand the size and nature of active radio regions near black holes and help to gain insights into the formation and evolution of galaxies.
