The waiver allowing us to serve free meals to all students during the pandemic has expired.
It is vital that parents complete and submit a free and reduced price meals application as soon as possible. The maximum limit has been increased, so you may qualify now even if you haven’t in the past.
Funding for Literacy Funds, Title II Funds, IDEA Funds, E-Rate Funding and Title I & Title IV Funds are determined by the number of students eligible for free or reduced price meals.

School lunch payments may be made online using MySchoolBucks or by delivering a check to your school secretary or to the drop box by the school lunch office, which is located in the building across from Sugar-Salem Education Center. If possible, please use the file below for a pre-printed envelope for your lunch information.

The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 directed the USDA to establish nutrition standards for all foods and beverages sold to students in school during the school day, including foods sold through school fundraisers. The Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards will help make the healthy choice the easy choice by offering the students more of the foods and beverages that research has shown are essential for health. These options include whole grains, fruits and vegetables, leaner protein, and lower-fat dairy.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
