Teachers Make a Difference: Sharee Barton
Mrs. Barton has endless energy and a deep commitment to student learning! Her classroom is a place where every student can explore their unique interests and connect with the world around them. Through her focus on project-based learning, Mrs. Barton creates hands-on, engaging experiences that inspire curiosity and critical thinking, whether in math or career exploration. Her problem-based learning class recently partnered with the local community to achieve an extraordinary goal: raising funds to drill three wells for a village in South Sudan that had never before had access to clean water. She not only teaches students problem-solving and collaboration skills but also empowers her students to make a difference both in their own lives and in the world. Mrs. Barton is retiring this year and will be missed by many!
