Central Elementary has nominated Sheri Vail as a Teacher that makes a Difference for the month of September. Sheri Vail... well, do they get any better?

Central Elementary is pleased to nominate Mindy Hardy as the September - Partner that makes a Difference.

Since joining SSJH in 2019, Mr. Travis Lundquist has proven to be an invaluable member of our faculty.

Eliane Goff, a dedicated paraprofessional at SSJH, embodies kindness, compassion, and commitment in everything she does.

Jackie Schwendiman is a 4th grade teacher at Kershaw Intermediate School. She was a 5th grade teacher last school year and has worked as a 4th grade teacher this school year.

Kim Forbush has worked as a cook for 8-10 years at Kershaw. She became the Kershaw head cook this school year. She is doing an outstanding job!

Tammy has worked at Sugar Salem for 17 years in our 3rd grade and Kindergarten. Prior to that she was teaching first grade in Preston for years.

Cristal has helped Central for 4 years and only been paid for 2. Whether as a volunteer or employee Cristal is always looking for a way to make a positive difference.

Mrs. Havens has been working in Sugar-Salem since 2010. Prior to her coming to Sugar-Salem, she worked as an elementary teacher in Utah.

Mrs. Aponte is one of our paraprofessionals in our preschool program. She has been working here since 2002. She is so kind, considerate, and flexible.

Mrs. Barton has endless energy and a deep commitment to student learning! Her classroom is a place where every student can explore their unique interests and connect with the world around them.

Kjerstin Rubert is in her second year as the secretary at Sugar-Salem Junior High, and we don’t know what we’d do without her!

Mrs. Davenport is loved by her students and has a unique ability to bring out the best in each of them. She consistently challenges and motivates them to achieve their highest potential.

Mrs. Shannon Hill has been employed with Sugar-Salem School district for 14 years with the last ten as a Paraprofessional at the high school.

This is Nola Harris’ 9th year working as a Title I Paraprofessional.  While continuing to work with Title I students in the morning, this school year she has started working with English Language Lear

Holly Jackson is the Instructional Coach at Kershaw Intermediate School.  She is into her 2nd year as the Reading Specialist and has worked in the district as a 3rd grade teacher before that.

Teya Peck is so helpful all day at Central Elementary. She is creative and fun but won’t let her students miss chances to learn.

When Central Elementary needs help with technology or insights for how to best prepare a class for state reading testing often, we head to room 5 to ask Melissa Coles.
